Soccer Day

Last sunday, my hubby's company organised a friendly soccer match at The Cage, Pitch 2. As his wife, I had to support him, despite the tiredness I had the day before (Valentine's Day and attending my colleague's wedding dinner)

The Banana Republic was their group name and they managed to win first runner-up. They managed to maintain 0 goals throughout the game. However, they lost the penalty shots during the finals. What a waste!

Swimming!!

My new goggles and swim cap that I bought today.

It has been a long long long while (dunno how many years) since I last swam in a pool, not the dry version (mahjong), but the one that I have to pay $1 per entry kind. Even though the deep pool was not ready, nevertheless, I swam at the middle pool. Freestyle, breaststroke.... the rest I dunno lar.

I really hope I can afford the time to swim again by knocking off slightly early (not 9pm!).

I better bring my towel next time. ;p

Old friends catching up

We just had a long awaiting gathering this evening at Tampines Mall. Jessie and her family and Khee Seng came to meet us, returning from Denmark and Australia to spend the chinese new year in Singapore. Teck Chye and his family, Chor Fai and I were there to catch up.

Jessie's little princess is so cute and adorable right? You got to see the real person then you will know what I mean. She is everything a girl wants... big eyes, rosy cheeks, long eye lashes.

Sylvia's birthday

Today, I invited Sylvia, my greatest neighbour cum close friend to my house. It is her birthday and I decided to cook chilli crab for her as a treat for being such a good listener and joker in my work life and social life.

At first, I wanted to put a candle in the middle for her to blow.. but decided not to get poisoned.

New Year Celebration

I invited my lunch buddies to my house for a steamboat cum teppanyaki dinner yesterday. Unfortunately, our 2 lunch buddies - Amy and Siew Yong are unable to attend due to clash of appointments. Nevertheless it was a fun to enjoy the dinner and catching up.

I am glad that we did not waste much food, except for the fishballs (meant for Amy's daughters), squid and vegetables. I shall cook them on monday for dinner....

Little Brother's wedding - Trader's Hotel

I attended my little brother - Guangjin's wedding lunch last sunday at Trader's Hotel. That was my first time to the hotel. The food was so-so. But the company was excellent. I caught up with my sec school classmates and enjoyed the catching up. I am very happy for him and Alicia (the bride).
