I think I am going crazy about shoes, especially for office wear. I bought 4 pairs within 2 days and seems to have a craze for shoes wherever I go. I cannot find enought office wears. I know I should cut down on expenses especially when inflation is here. I shall not be tempted to buy anymore till the older pair fails me. (That is my new motto)Sunday, August 31, 2008

SAFRA Run 2008
Sleepy leh... asked me to wake up so early on sunday..
My sole betrayed me at the last 1 km.Today is the SAFRA Run 2008 that 3 of us participated. It was a chore for me to wake up at 630am on a sunday for something I do not really like to do , ie jog. I had a tantrum and my hubby could not stand it. Nevertheless, I picked myself off the bed and got ready to leave the house. :>The 6km non-competitive race was the last run for the day. We started at 830am at the esplanade bridge. I could not really run and had to walk instead, listening to my mp3. There were some school bands along the way to cheer the runners. At the last 1 km, my shoe sole betrayed me and I had difficulty walking back to the finishing line. :X
We went to City Link Mall to find a pair of slippers for me. The shops are only opened at 11am and we stood outside Adidas shop and waited. We were the first customer but I don't like the designs then. We went to NewUrbanMale and got a pair of silver Dupas slippers. (we were also their first customer). Then we went to Shokudo (again for us) for lunch and we were again their first customer. :P After which, we saw another shop unit of NewUrbanMale and saw their new range of sandals. Really cool lor. My hubby and I bought a pair of same colour (green and white) and we can wear to Bintan next month. Yippee!!

Our Date

We finally have our date today. First, we went to ICA to collect our passport then subsequently to Bugis Junction to shop and have lunch. The food we had at Shokudo Japanese Coffee House is not too bad. We had Salmon Sushi Roll, thin crusted pizza, Curry Rosti and this Red bean, Green Tea dessert.
I have been very busy with my postgrad programmes and going home late. Had been eating out most of the days and miss my father's cooking. Next month I have 4 previews to prepare and the pre-event activities are just too many to juggle. Million dollar question for marketing- how do I get the audience to come? Million dollar question for sales - how to increase conversion rate? This is worse than my previous job. Haha.. I just pity my speaker who has to do 3 out of 4. He better drink more liang tei and smoke less. This is the last quarter to work hard before the year ends. Postgrad team, Jia You!

Fabulous drawing
I met a very old friend of mine and guess where? Facebook! I knew him more than 10 years ago in Teleview (the version of MSN). I was real touched that he did not forget me as I was just a little girl then. A 1200kb modem to dial up. WOW. I really miss those days.I remembered this drawing that he gave me. It was from a comic book cover page. Don't worry Malao. I have been treasuring this piece of artwork. So will my children (if I have) and grandchildren.
